Terminator: Dark Fate - Movie Review

Image
Terminator dark  fate was directed by Tim Miller and  stars Linda Hamilton McKenzie Davis  Arnold Schwarzenegger and natalia reyes  and is the story of Sarah Connor and a  hybrid cyborg human, who now must protect  a young girl from a newly modified  liquid Terminator from the future. According to reports published before  this film's release Edward Furlong as  John Connor is also in the movie. So, we  can all look forward to that. the Terminator franchise has basically  been a mediocre bland pile of crap since  Terminator 2. The first two films were  amazing and I still loved them but after  that they've all been pretty disposable  and Genesis was rather embarrassing so  with James Cameron returning as a  producer and Tim Miller directing Linda  Hamilton coming back as Sarah Connor, it  felt like there was something happening.  It felt like there were possibilities  here an...

The Last Kingdom - Movie Review

Image
The last Kingdom is based on a series of books called the Saxon stories or the Saxon tales and the series essentially tells the story of the beginning of England.   More specifically the show follows Uhtred. Uhtred was born Saxon but was raised by the Danes you know Vikings. So, hundred has to constantly play both sides to survive and to get what he feels belongs to. The last Kingdom felt very different from other epic periodic shows first of all the story here is told very much from ultras perspective. It's a very personal story that's set in the middle of everything that's going on in England or you know Uhtred North Umbria and Wesen. I really like this approach and I think that the last Kingdom does it very well you still get a very good handle on the scope of these massive events that take place but the story is personal enough for you to actually care. Something else that stood out for me in this show was how it looks and how it was shocked. You have a lot of be...

Extraction - Movie Review

Image
Extraction was directed by Sam Hargrave and stars Chris Hemsworth as a mercenary that’s tracking down the son of a drug lord that was kidnapped in India. But as his mission turns deadly very quickly he begins to realize this kid has sought after by a lot more people than he originally thought. This film premiered on Netflix today and I gave it a watch.   Because it's written by Joe Russo   produced by him and his brother Anthony   and it's directed by Sam Hargrave the   veteran stunt coordinator of the   Avengers movies some of the Pirates of   the Caribbean films   he's been around doing stunt work for a   while. And this is his first time behind the camera and in the past I would have been like who's stunt man making a movie but ever since the John wick films I don’t take anything for granted. And his past work as a stunt coordinator is obvious throughout this movie. The action scenes are mind-blowing. There are at least a couple scenes i...
